Shipping & Refund Policy
At Kneady, our breads are baked fresh to order in our Los Angeles bakery. We work with 72-hour slow fermentation, using only organic ingredients — with no gums, no yeast, and no preservatives. All of our loaves are handmade, with the same care and craftsmanship as our French bakery in Provence.
🚚 Why does shipping feel expensive?
We understand that shipping from California to the East Coast or Midwest can feel pricey.
Here’s why:
We don’t use fulfillment centers or intermediaries — we bake, pack, and ship everything ourselves, fresh.
Our shipping fees are based on real-time carrier rates and depend on the total weight of your order.
Our breads are packaged with care to ensure freshness across long distances.
🧊 Pro tip: Our bread freezes beautifully
Many of our customers like to order in bulk to make the most of shipping. Our loaves freeze extremely well — just slice, wrap, and freeze!
If you're looking to try several varieties, consider ordering full-size loaves (2 lbs) rather than many smaller ones. It helps:
- Reduce waste on our end (we don’t like to throw out good bread!)
- Make your shipping cost more efficient
- Ensure you always have good bread on hand at home
We’re a small artisan team — not a factory — and we’re committed to real food, baked with love and integrity. Thank you for supporting what we do 💛
All our breads are baked to order, especially for you.
Because they are made fresh and perishable, orders cannot be canceled, refunded, or exchanged once baking has begun or the order has shipped.
Please double-check your shipping or pickup option before completing checkout.
If you’d like to avoid shipping fees, you can always select “Pick-up at Farmers Market” (free of charge) and choose one of our regular markets, list available at checkout.
We ship all orders via FedEx. Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number so you can follow the delivery in real time.
If your order arrives damaged or lost, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery confirmation so that we can assist you in opening a claim with FedEx.
Thank you for supporting small-batch, artisan baking — we appreciate every single customer who helps us keep the craft alive. 💛
